'sup! :D So I should really be working on my presentation, which is due on Tuesday, but what harm can a little bit of procrastination do?
... Apparently a lot when the "little bit" turn into... well, not so little.
BUT it IS Sunday, and it's meant to be relaxing, so~ I shall promise myself that I'll work on the presentation tonight, even if it kills me, and procrastinate just a little longer to blog for now.

That wasn't today, this was taken a while back, but I noticed the clouds were looking ridiculously cute and whipped out Stanley in a flash to take this while waiting for the traffic lights to turn green.

Lunch for less than $5, here you go~ onigiri for everyone.
Jk. Although onigiri is definitely less than $5, there was a better deal out there.

Breakfast from a few days back. I don't know why I'm posting up stuff from a few days back, but who doesn't like ham cheese tomato croissant and coffee for breakfast? Haven't done a breakfast! post in ages, so it's been incorporated into this one.

Just to show off again. Actually, I'm clicking through my picasa album and trying to get to the latest ones, but the distraction proved too great and I just had to post several photos up before I get to the main point.
$5 lunch. Right, here it is:

Tada~ Korean cold noodles with slices of daikon radish, cucumber, nashi pear and half an egg~

You can get the one with chili sauce and vegetables for $6.

Unfortunately, they scam you on the side dishes when you order cheap lunch, and we only got this EXTREMELY spicy pickled radish. It was crazy hot, but went well with my cold noodles~

My ginseng tea cost almost the same as a bowl of noodles...

Then, to the weekly cafe sitting~ this time at "My Sweet Memory", the stationery cafe which I posted about.

I ordered a flat white and regretted it as soon as I went back to the table. They had a new selection of drinks available, one being chai hot chocolate. Wish I got that... =(

Takeaway coffee cups and tray as decorations ^^'' and they were selling Easter eggs too, from Adora, which I was tempted to get but forgot to in the end.

Macro on Stanley. I see people take photos with their bigass camera that can blur out the background really well. Stanley can do it too, but only at times, like in this photo. Other times... can't do it. Wonder why...?

You may have worked out that you need the largest aperture (smallest f/number) you can get - but some people don't realise your focal length also affects the depth of field too (zoom in for blurrier background). And lastly - focus distance. The closer the object you're focusing on, the shallower the DOF is. Your finger's probably very close to the camera, so the background is very blurry.
ohhh thanks for the tips! :D Been trying to work it out for ages using p&s cameras...
So I guess the trick is zooming in and getting close~ gotta try that.
what is stanley????
and.... the cold noodle will make melvin so jealous!
Jie
Stanley is the camera I got from HK, the S95 Canon.
Cold noodles for $5!! =D Though when you come visit, you wouldn't be in the mood for cold noodles, you'll want hot pot =P
>So I guess the trick is zooming in and getting close~ gotta try that.
The problem with p&s is that usually when you zoom in, you can't get a low aperture any more. Can't be helped..
is that THE NEW canon!!!!? ohhh.... so jealous!!!!!!!!!!^.^!
well, well, melvin is always onz for cold noodle, regardless the weather.....
Jie
haha, it's not that new anymore, been released for awhile already, and very overused in my hands~
Cold noodles in winter, that's an idea =P Let's go for mah la hot pot instead =D
